With Acceptance Comes Healing and Happy Hallowpink

Let me start by saying thank you to Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for hosting Pink Saturday.
With Acceptance Comes Healing
Last Saturday I came to terms with the fact that there is a difference between want and need. I began to realize and accept the fact that the Pink KitchenAid Mixer would not be mine. Yes, it was difficult at first, but I have moved on. I have realized that others could be just as loved in my kitchen. Meet my new friend, she can mix, she can stir...she's Pinkie the spatula (she has a little sister named Pink).

This picture doesn't do her justice. She's just covered in batter, but she loves it!! In this shot she's helping me make our favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies (by the way I use 1/4 C more flour than called for). Don't you just love her?

HAPPY HALLOWPINK!!

I don't know about you but I love decorating for the Seasons, but I don't love putting away my pink. So I don't. I love the way this cat (a decoration from my childhood) looks perched in the pink window. The little scarecrow lamp came from the dollar store (which make him all the more lovable).

Fancy That, acceptance has brought even more pink into my life, and Pink can be a friend to all colors even the Halloween kind!!

Your decorations are lovely, and I just love that mirror there. There is a big difference between want and need, and I think that this reminder is timely.

That's so sweet - I have some old spatulas that are about to give up the ghost - maybe I need to go buy some pink ones - you have inspired me!!! :)

Good for you, Jennifer. You are so brave. ;-)

Now, about those cookies. Will you please slide one through the screen to me? Oh, I really want two. They will be delicious with my coffee.

You know I love that pink window.

That cat reminds me of the cards my own mother would give to me as a girl. I only saved one myself...sadly! Who knew they would be considered so vintage and collectable! haha! LOVE it in the Pink Window! How sweet! I don't decorate for Christmas in Green and Red...so I say pull out any colors that you love and make it your own! Good for you!

Hey - I have an idea for you! You can get those gorgeous roses decals and attach those all over your mixer! Seal with a clear sealant and voila-all the roses and or pink you want! Not hard to do! Happy Pink Saturday!

Hi..

Love your sweet little pink spatula. Having something so cute to use when cooking makes it so much more fun.

Love your idea of HallowPink. I'm like you. I have a very hard time putting away all my pink pretties to decorate for the fall/winters seasons, so I usually leave it all out and just mix in a few of the seasonal things. Glad to know I'm no the only one who feels this way:)

Way to be a big girl LOL! Love your new spatula. And even a bit more flour won't hurt that recipe -- just makes them more cakey and yummy!
